He may have back-up staff ready to fill in, or liaises with other DJs who are able to provide equipment or staff at short notice. 11. How extensive and relevant is his music repertoire? Some professional DJs subscribe to a music update service, which gives up to date music. You should be able to be as involved as you would like in the play list, and the requests from guests on the night are considered, within your guidelines. 12. Does the DJ have liability insurance? This is necessary as protection for you, your guests and the venue.
